Deep Creek Lake Maryland, in Garrett

It is estimated that 76.1% of
Garrett County's residents live
outside town limits. Garrett is the
most rural county in Maryland and is
sought after for this reason. There
are 567 farm businesses in the
county. Unique shops along
tree-lined streets in Garrett
County's friendly towns offer
antiques, hand-crafted items and
homemade pies. Woodland trails are
rich with songbirds and wildlife.
